Pilar Cebrián is a freelance journalist with experience in armed conflicts and countries such as Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. Based in Istanbul since 2015, where she collaborates for media such as Antena 3, El Confidencial and France24, her line of research focuses on the impact of Middle East wars on European security. Recipient of the BBVA Leonardo Scholarship in 2018 and the Young Journalist of the Year Award from the Madrid Press Association in 2014, she collaborates with the International Observatory for Terrorism Studies (OIET) and publications such as World Politics Review and Foreign Policy.
