People tend to think of monsters as evil, blood-thirsty creatures hiding in caves or beneath bridges, waiting to attack anyone that crosses their path. But their contemporary physical appearance and hideouts can deceive even the cleverest person. Monsters no longer have fangs or claws and the people we love the
most can be monsters in disguise.
A woman and her mother acquire a new pet, a white Chihuahua dog, that gets sick after winning first place in several dog shows; a young girl must face two complicated situations at the same time, a pandemic and possible sexual molestation at home; a girl discovers by chance that she and her friends are being spied on in the bathroom. The domestic environment is witness to the cruel acts performed by these new 21st-century monsters who wear kind and friendly masks.
